As HSSC labours to gather help for Mangyan communities, we knock on your doors for immediate help for them as typhoon Tisoy left so many Mangyan families homeless, hungry and sick.
Mangyan areas up north in Oriental Mindoro especially the whole of Alangan Mangyan areas in the municipalities of Baco, Naujan and Victoria, originally administered to by Paitan Mangyan Mission of the SSpS sisters had been severely battered by the typhoon. There are communities in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro in similar situation. To give us a picture, below are the figures from the municipalities of Naujan, Baco in Or. Mindoro and Sitios Calamansian, Kumiray and Kulasisi in Sablayan, Occ. Mindoro. Figures from communities farther up are still not available.

We have attached some images of the destruction.
We urgently need tarpaulins or tents that the Mangyans can use as temporary shelter, food items, vitamins especially for children, clothing, blankets to keep them warm especially at night, and cash.
It has been a week since the typhoon, your help will certainly save lives.
