In SSpS Provincial Resolution, the mission for HSSC is made clear, that is to reach out to persons and communities living in abject poverty, promote their rights based on values of justice and peace.
Empowerment towards self-reliance.
Engagements among the poor sectors ultimately aim to help facilitate a learning process for the communities to become self-reliant.
Engagement with like-minded groups.
HSSC recognizes that a powerful tool in development work is to engage with groups who share the same vision and carry similar agenda. Building partnerships with key players in local communities like the parish, the diocese, local government, department of education, department of social welfare and development, and other agencies becomes necessary part in the overall work of HSSC.
